BIO Rea was born on December 21 in the middle of a devastating blizzard. The woman who helped deliver her determined that she had only a 25% chance of surviving the night, fire wood was unavailable and heat was scarce in the hospital. Her mother named her Rea in hopes that she would, like a rare butterfly, survive all of the dangers and harmful intentions coming her way. While her mother’s prayers were indeed answered, she opened a whole new level of danger to her beloved child. Lillian Yokoshima died in the hospital that night, due to internal bleeding. Her husband Jurykin could never forgive Rea, for he believed that his wife had died as a result of that “Death Monger” or “Oujou gyoushou” that possessed the body of his once innocent daughter. As soon as she arrived home Rea was very neglected and abused, usually seen as a personal servant her father would leave her alone at hours for a time at a very young age and expect her to have the house ridiculously clean by the time he returned. When she was only three years old her father had ordered her to prepare a supper for them, in the midst of making the main course she had burned a steak and her father had held her hand onto the burner causing her to receive the scar that is on her left hand. Even though everything around her seemed to be malevolent and ill willed she somehow managed to keep a smile on her face always treating her father and her older sister Camille with the utmost care and respect. On her 5th birthday Rea was kicked out of the house after picking some flowers from the yard to give to her father. Left on her own Rea tried to find her way to a nearby village, quite unaware of the dangers she found herself surrounded by wild dogs, fearing for her life she ran. After about half an hour of running she reached the Land of Waves where the people were scornful and scoffed when they saw her. Her appearance was that of a runaway. She looked tired, dirty, and untrustworthy, though that was far from the case. Even after all that had happened to her Rea still managed to be kind and loving to all that took the time to talk to her. After two weeks of running around the Land of Waves scrounging up what little food she could manage to find, local authorities took quick action in removing her. Though you would think that sympathy would be given to a child, this case must have differed. Set out in the woods again, Rea decided that if she was going to survive she needed to find shelter and food. She figured that most villages would react the way the Land of Waves had, her only chance was to find her refuge in the forest. She turned and walked off of the path into the woods. After walking for what felt like hours she finally found a place that looked suitable and settled down to rest before going out to search for her dinner. Failing at first to catch any game at all, she survived off of berries and other edible plants for about 3 weeks until a ninja team discovered her on their way to complete a mission. Feeling sympathy towards her situation, the shinobi taught her some tricks on how to move silently through the underbrush and supplied her with a kunai pouch. They promised that after their mission was complete they would go back to Darkness and speak with their kage about having her come live in the village and maybe join the Ninja Academy. Unfortunately though they would never get the chance, for a mere three hours after the shinobi team had left a monstrous thunderstorm struck her tiny refuge, terrified that the water would drown her Rea started running again. This time however she did not reach any gates, she was helplessly lost in the middle of the forest leading to Darkness. She knew this because the female shinobi, Serina, had told her where some forests met and others didn’t. Hoping to find her way to the village gates Rea tightened the kunai pack and began walking in the direction she hoped was north. After succeeding in only getting herself even more lost, she decided to settle down in a clearing near a fresh water stream. Learning how to hunt and gather quite effectively within the first 5 months thanks to the helpful techniques the shinobi team had taught her. She lived there quite happily until she was 10 years old, surviving a total of 5 years by herself in the forest. With all of the time she had spent there, she had befriended only the forest animals. A small black squirrel who she called Sabbath, kept her company until about 7 months after her 10th birthday. That day her little squirrel had been killed by a passing shinobi. Rea confronted him angrily, demanding that he explain his reason for harming her pet. The man was fairly older then herself and seemed to be much stronger then he looked, regarding the feral looking child with cold judging eyes. After spending almost a minuet with gazes locked the man spoke. “I apologize for any inconvenience my actions may have caused you, as repayment I would like to offer you a place to stay for a while.” Shocked by his response Rea could not think of what to stay. “I will take that as a yes then” He stated as he reached over lightly touching a pressure point on her neck rendering her unconscious. When she woke up she found herself in a plain looking bedroom wrapped in fresh bedding and new clothes. Scared and slightly freaked out she sat up in the bed suddenly only to come face to face with a small furry dog. The man who had knocked her out earlier stood by the door with an almost blank expression. Following were introductions and deals, the man’s name was Nora, and the dogs name was Atae. Nora offered to let Rea stay with her for free until she was old enough to get a job. Without any other place to go, she accepted. She lived with Nora for 7 years slowly getting closer and more comfortable around him, though he was gone on missions a lot it always seemed that he had time to spare for her. When she turned 17 Rea got a job selling flowers and started paying Nora 67 Ryo a month. After saving up enough money, she and Atae have moved into a one bedroom apartment where she is currently living. She is still selling flowers and has found that she quite enjoys it.

Personality: She is kind and timid. She loves animal, she hates spicy food and loves candy. She absolutly adores her puppy Atae, and spoils him quite often. She doesn't really go out of her way to make friends.

Rea sat silently by her little freshwater stream, the water seemed to be singing a song to her attempting to lull her to sleep. Sabbath, however, had other plans, jumping on her shoulder and squeaking loudly, he made that known. Rea started awake quickly and glared at the small furry rodent that was perched happily on her left shoulder. She pushed some of her brown hair behind her right ear and growled softly. “Sabbath-nii-chii what in the world was that all about!?” Sabbath just tilted his head to the right and made another clicking noise. “Oh sure, don’t play stupid with me. I know you can understand me.” She stood up and looked around her homey little forest camp. Her main sleeping area was built against a rock wall with rather large sticks and leaves that were all tied together by some rope that she had made with the ivy vines that had been crawling up the face of the ancient cracked cliff. Next she studied the often used homemade fire pit, which was ringed with large stones that she had pulled from the stream, the colors on the stones changes when a fire was going. Sometimes even the flames would change to colors like bright green and purple, and then suddenly her dinner would be either over cooked or burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. Her eyes then trailed to the worn path that led out of the clearing, she has used that path so often that the grass no longer grew there. Sabbath suddenly leaped off of her shoulder and onto the small tee pee looking structure that she had created to hang her food from to dry and preserve it. He chirped loudly and jumped off of that and ran into the forest. She smiled and watched him run the path while taking her seat by the stream once again. “Hurry home nii-chii” She said as she lay on her stomach crossing her arms so she could use them as a head rest while she stared at the running water. Occasionally a small fish would dart past, one of her favorite things to do was try and guess what color it had turned as the sun had hit its scales. She then closed her eyes and let the sound of the running stream lull her asleep.
